Nacoochee Dam was completed in 1926 by The Georgia Railway and Power Company (now Georgia Power Company) on the Tallulah River. It is a gravity dam 75 feet high and 490 feet long. The dam formed Lake Seed which is between Lake Burton and Lake Rabun on the Tallulah River. The dam produces in the range of 4.8 megawatts of electricity.
