The site is situated across railway tracks from Battersea Power Station and two mainline train lines pass directly by the site in and out of Victoria. The site is therefore viewable by well over 100, 000 train passengers passing everyday. Over the coming years, as the new developments surrounding the site are completed the kennels will also be overlooked by thousands of new apartments. The new building partly occupies old railway land, bringing it into full use in helping Battersea Dogs & Cats Home respond to a daily demand to take in many of London’s strays. It includes four kennel blocks for newly received dogs, with dedicated external paddocks for dog assessment and training. The stand-alone Intake Centre provides reception and interview areas, caution kennels and a clinic as a first step on a dog’s journey through to being rehomed. Additional images avilable
