View along St George's Quay Lancaster showing many of the old warehouses that have now been converted into dwellings or for other purposes. The quay has also had a new wall added to prevent flooding of these buildings at high tide and this wall is behind the railings and the footpath. Many of the buildings are listed and were involved in the slave trade when Lancaster was a busy port. The old Customs house, which is now a Maritime Museum, is just visible towards the right of the picture.
