One of the vintage cars in the first-ever Around the World motor rally, which was stared by Sir Stirling Moss on Tower Bridge in London. 100 vintage or classic cars, started the race. * The route includes the Silk Route to China, the Taklimaken Desert, then airlifted out of Beijing to Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, Canada and America, for another airlift out of New York to Marrakesh, then back to the finish at Tower Bridge having skirted the Sahara Desert.
