"Paris Métropole comes from the willingness of local officials, from all political persuasions, to accompany the metropolitan area and the city to work together to make a Plan for a more humane and harmonious Metropolis in the Future. Established in June 2009 as a "union", it now has over 200 members including municipalities, communities of communes and cities, 8 departments and the Regional Council of Ile-de-France. At Paris Métropole, politicians think about all the elements that determine the quality of life for people whose issues are beyond the municipal boundaries: housing, transportation, employment, and health. Since 4 years, they propose solutions, make decisions. Today, they want to go further and invite all stakeholders to contribute to this reflection" (Translated for the Website of Paris Metropole).
