Parish councillor and ex-JP Michael Cuttell, leaves Swindon Magistrates Court. Mr Cuttell, 64, used his 22 calibre rifle to kill terrier Misty with a single bullet wound through the head while she was locked in a shed, it is claimed. *..The four-year-old terrier was the family pet of father-of-three David Baker and had accompanied him to work every day for two years. Mr Baker, managing director of training company Meta Morphose, had leased offices in the grounds of Mr Cuttell's Cotswold estate near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, for nine years. But in February this year Mr Baker had been out at lunch when two of Mr Cuttell's many peacocks which roam the grounds, were found badly injured by estate workers - and one had to be destroyed. Prosecution told Swindon Magistrates Court that Cuttell had locked Misty in the shed, gone back home to get his gun and then returned to execute her with a single shot in cold blood.
