The wife of serial killer Harold Shipman was ending her public silence on her husband's crimes by giving evidence about him for the first time. * Primrose Shipman was called to testify in public earlier this week after the inquiry into her husband's activities rejected her application to speak behind closed doors. The 54-year-old mother-of-four is attending Manchester Town Hall after a special hearing of the Shipman Inquiry, headed by Dame Janet Smith, ruled she should not be allowed to give evidence in private.
