Remember when by Annabal Bagdi <<17aug1994>> BUDDING artists crafted a larger than life sculpture from industrial waste materials in August 1994. Residents aged between 6 and 60 spent a month fashioning drainpipes, pieces of tapes, wire, metal and wood into a giant figurines. About 20 people were involved in the sculpture course at the Old Fire Station Arts Centre. Some of the imaginative projects were displayed at the centre and included dragons, musical instruments, heads and human bodies. The workshop was part of a series of summer events, together with Indian musical instruments and body popping dancing.
