Sgt. Nicholas Emmerling engages targets at the 25 yard line during the Rifle Excellence in Competition portion of the Marksmanship Advisory Council VII at Camp Roberts on August 20th. The 25 yard line is the closest stage of fire in the EIC, however, the shooter only has 2 seconds to fire any remaining rounds, making a fire plan essential to earning a competitive score.
