A glimpse into the prehistoric Indonesian civilization Archaeological sites on the flat, low-lying areas of northern part of West Java province—notably Bekasi and Karawang regencies—have been telling stories of prehistoric culture of Indonesia. There, over decades, archaeologists have discovered a large amount of prehistoric pottery fragments scientifically known as "Buni culture" along with skeletons of the society who supported it.
