Soap Box Derby race through Singleton Park in Swansea. The amateur organised race, which originated in the United States in the 1930's sees home made vehicles competing which are unpowered and rely completely upon gravity to move. Many of the vehicles also didn't have any brakes. They raced individually down a timed track and finished off with a Le Mans style start race involving all the vehicles to the finish line. The cars got up to speeds of nearly 30mph.
