Fifty Firefighters have been called to tackle a Southsea dry cleaners this morning Ten appliances were called to the Impress launderette in Albert Road just before 6am this morning, Crews from Cosham, Southsea, Fareham, Waterlooville, Portchester and Havant have attended the incident near the Bold Forester Pub. An aerial ladder from St Mary's was brought in to tackle the blaze from above. Southsea Hampshire Wednesday 21 December 2016 Fifty Firefighters have been called to tackle a Southsea dry cleaners this morning Ten appliances were called to the Impress launderette in Albert Road just before 6am this morning, Crews from Cosham, Southsea, Fareham, Waterlooville, Portchester and Havant have attended the incident near the Bold Forester Pub. An aerial ladder from St Mary's was brought in to tackle the blaze from above. The blaze took hold of the Impress dry cleaners, next door to the Bold Forester pub in Albert Road, at approximately 6am this morning. The owners managed to escape from the upstairs flat without injury before raising the alarm. There are no other reported injuries. Albert Road, and neighbouring side roads, are still sealed off between Waverley Road and Bristol Road while an investigation is carried out. Police are asking motorists to avoid the area. ©UKNIP
