Burford - gateway to the Cotswolds. Church dates from 1175 & considered one of Englands best 1000 Parish Churches. Originally built and used as a Catholic church until the Reformation. Has an 8 bell campanile. Church used by Cromwell to imprison 340 Levellers of whom 2 were executed by firing squad in the graveyard - 1649.
