Marshal Georgy Zhukov (1896-1974) was a Soviet commander during the Second World War leading the Red Army in the defect of the Axis forces. He was one of the most decorated heroes in the history of Russia and the Soviet Union. He engineering the victory of the German 6th Army in the Battle of Stalingrad and helped capture Berlin in 1945. The statue in just outside the western entrance to Red Square and the Kremlin in Moscow.
