THE STRIPED CLIFF AT HUNSTANTON HAVE BEEN FORMED OVER MILLIONS OF YEARS GIVING GEOLOGISTS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF GEOLOGICAL STRATA. CHALK FROM THE UPPER CRETACEOUS PERIOD FORMS THE TOP LAYER FOLLOWED BY LIMESTONE, KNOWN AS RED CHALK FROM THE LOWER CRETACEOUS PERIOD. AT THE BOTTOM IS GREY/GREEN CARSTONE
