The Leasat Satellite leaves the cargo bay of Shuttle Columbia during STS-32, (1/9/90-1/20/90). Leasat, also known as Syncom IV, is a US Navy-operated communications satellite. After Leasat was launched, the crew of Columbia successfully captured the Long Duration Exposure Facility, (LDEF), satellite, returning it to Earth at the end of a Shuttle-record 11-day stay in space.
