The Bridge on the river Kwai (Kanchanaburi - Thailand). Because of the 1945 bombing by allied airforces, only its curved spans are 1943 originals. That bridge has become famous thanks to the eponymous David Lean film based on the novel of the French writer Pierre Boulle. Le Pont de la rivière Kwaï (Kanchanaburi - Thaïlande). Seules les travées arrondies datent de 1943 en raison de sa destruction par l'aviation alliée en 1945. Ce pont est devenu célèbre grâce au film éponyme de David Lean basé sur le roman de l'écrivain Français Pierre Boulle.
