The former home of the American Folk Art Museum, now owned by MoMA on West 53rd Street in New York on Monday, April 22, 2013. The architecturally striking building, designed by noted architects Tod Williams and Billy Tsien, was sold to the Museum of Modern Art in 2011 after the folk art museum ran into dire financial straits. Only 12 years old, MoMA has announced its intention to tear down the building as part of its most recent expansion. (© Richard B. Levine)
