Copenhagen and the Danish government hosted the UN COP15 climate change negotiations in December 2009. The conference was billed as the World's last chance for a deal on climate change and CO2 emissions to save the world from irreversible raising temperatures. The result was to most a big disappointment as no binding deal was made. Up to 100.000 people marched in Copenhagen on Dec 12 to highlight their concerns about the changing climate and in solidarity with people in the South who is already suffering from the changing weather patterns. People having a sausage, Danish style after the demo.
