The Little Mermaid situated at the waterfront in the port of Copenhagen. The Little Mermaid is - in spite of her size - the most famous and popular tourist attraction in Denmark. The statue is a national symbol and landmark and synonymous with Copenhagen. The Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, wrote the fairy tale of The Little Mermaid in 1837.
