Constructed in 1911 the Theodore Roosevelt Lake is an artifical reservior which was formed by the damming of the Salt River in Arizona as part of the Salt River Project (SRP) providing water to the Pheonix metropolitan area. The lake is the largest of those constructed with a storage capicity of 1, 653, 043 acre feet.
