What a great way to spend the Fourth of July holiday, tubing down the Ichetucknee River in North Central Florida. The Ichetucknee River is one of the purest rivers in the world and its crystal clear spring fed waters run for 6 miles to the Santa Fe River. The water is 72 degrees year round and provides a welcome relief from the summer heat. The Ichetucknee Springs State Park was purchased in 1970 by the state of Florida and is designated a National Natural Landmark.
