More information:

My 83 year old sister and I at 69 years old were on a hike at Kasha-Katuwe National Monument in New Mexico. This 1.5 mile one way hike starts out in a sand wash then goes through a narrow slot like canyon then opens up to a wide area with some tent-like sandstone spires with hard rocks on top. This shot is in the wider area. Erosion caused the tent shapes. The trail continues upward to the top of a cliff with 360 degree views. You can see the Sangre de Christo and Jemez Mountains from the top. We had lunch at the top then headed back down. We took many great photos that day. It is a favorite hike of ours.
