Victoria park Plymouth Devon ukMore information:
Victoria Park in Millbridge in Plymouth is a small recreational area. It extends at the eastern end from the bowling green beneath what was once a railway viaduct to what is now the merging of Molesworth Road and Eldad Hill, and which once was a toll bridge, and an important thoroughfare between Devonport and Plymouth. The area which it occupies was once tidal marshland, known as the Deadlake, and Bartholomew Terrace a road now adjacent to the park was marked on 19th century maps of the area as Deadlake Lane. At the eastern end of the park, high next to a railway bridge is a scuplture by Richard Deacon called “Moor” dating from 1990, it is 24.7 metres long and sits on the piers of another disused railway bridge.
