More information:

Top Withens near Haworth, which was once the home of the Bronte sisters. This abandoned farmhouse is said to be the inspiration for the Earnshaw house in Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights.' It has a dramatic and lonely setting high on the windswept moors. Next to an open doorway, a plaque can be seen on the wall of the building informing visitors of its significance and in the distance, two walkers are making their way along the public footpath that runs to the right of the ruins.
