It was taken over by Associated British Cinemas (ABC). Designed by Stanley Beard with an art deco facade dominated by eight ‘Egyptian-style’ columns. It was renamed ABC in 1961. An uncompleted project to become Ealing Filmworks meant demolishing most of the building, but the façade was restored in 2020 – a vintage 1960s photograph.
