The central government in Egypt, in an attempt to further distribute population, diverts water from the Nile into arid parts of the country. One of them is Wadi Al Rayan area south west of Cairo. The influx of water created two interconnected lakes separated by height that makes water from the higher lake drop in a water fall to the lower lake.
