Bath, Somerset, UK - The City of Bath was established by the Romans in approximately 60AD. The Roman name was Aquae Sulis (the waters of Sulis) and baths and a temple were built in the valley of the River Avon around hot springs. It became a Spa town during the Georgian era. Most buildings are built from the creamy gold bath stone which is found locally.
