The airmen, of the 11th Troop Carrier Squadron of the 60th Troop Carrier Wing, have 'adopted' the 70 children in the orphanage, which is run by Catholic Sisters. RM2Y7RFAB–The chocolate drop 21.12.53 sweets and chocolate fell from the skies into a field near the Ubstadt orphanage, near Bruschal, Germany, last Friday when the United States Air Force made 'Operation Candy Drop' as a surprise for the children. The airmen, of the 11th Troop Carrier Squadron of the 60th Troop Carrier Wing, have 'adopted' the 70 children in the orphanage, which is run by Catholic Sisters.
