Admiral Kerr is the man who in 1917 persuaded the British Cabinet to form the Royal Air Force. He was Commander in Chief of the Greek Navy from 1913 to 1915 and in the early days of aviation was famous for his many long distance flights, including an attempt in 1919 to fly the Atlantic.
