Traveling under a Special Board of Trade license, the Jug was a gift in 1928 from Dr A.C.Bates of Cornell University, to Dr S.W.Stewart, Methodist Minister of Huddersfield. When Dr Stewart died, it was decided to send the antique to the eldest son, a professor in Rochester N.Y. The jug will be sent in a special crate and suspended dead centre by springs.
