'The Cup' Can End Farce of Boxers Winning on the Floor. One of the most disgusting sights in British boxing is a boxer grimacing and writhing on the floor of the ring. It is bad enough when a blow beneath the belt has put the man down in considerable pain. It is worse when the boxer is putting on an act pretending to have been hit low and hurt, and imitates the reactions of a man really in agony in the hope of getting the decision. Boxers have a name for this - 'winning on the floor'.
