(Aug 23, 2022) – An EA-18G Growler assigned to the 'Dust Devils' of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 31 launches from Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Point Mugu. VX-31 is based at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Calif. and charged with conducting safe, effective, and efficient flight testing and evaluation of aircraft and weapon systems in direct support of the United States Naval Aviation Fleet. NBVC is the home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2C Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 80 tenants. NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, Calif., (Aug. 18, 2022) -- Adm. Bill Lescher, Vice Chief of Naval Operation, right, is presented a gift form Vice Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, Commander, Naval Air Forces during a visit to CNAF headquarters on board Naval Air Station North Island, California, Aug. 18. Lescher also toured Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, observing the progress of the first F/A-18F Super Hornet undergoing Service Life Modification (SLM), which will add more than 4,000 hours of flight time to the aircraft’s service life and upgrade it to the Block III variant.
