19 July 2022, Saxony-Anhalt, Köthen: Dahomey dwarf cattle baby Oskar and Andy Bemmann (animal keeper) in a barn. Oskar was born on 11.7. His mother shows no interest in him, he got no mother's milk from her. Now he is raised by hand with the bottle. In the animal park Köthen these dwarf cattle are held since some years in the home animal facility. Hand rearing has never been done with these animals, a spokesman said. The zoo in Köthen is home to about 800 animals of 135 species. A support association takes care of the 5.5-acre facility.
