RM2M7RABT–A team of firefighters from Kirtland Air Force Base deployed May 11, 2022, to combat the combined Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire -- the largest wildland fire in the United States. Kirtland Fire Department Battalion Chief Terence Eaton, a 26-year veteran of the department, is leading the team’s effort while they live in field conditions for their two-week rotation. Also deployed are Battalion Chief Jefferson Buller, Lt. Alfonso Rankin, and driver/operator Daniel Sanchez.
