Mar. 31, 2012 - anima. This female Koala Bear, nursing a baby in its pouch, miraculously survived a bush fire which ravaged a forest in Australia recently. As 30 meter high flames swept through the trees which were her home, she made her way down to a dry creek bed and escaped with only slightly singed fur. Two RSPCA rescue team members, Paul Stichel and Tom Goldborn, found her under a blackberry bush and handed her over to a vet for treatment. She was released into a nearby conservation park to begin a new life. Picture shows: Lucky koala in safe hands after her rescue.
