060916-N-1328C-209 Hindi, Kenya (Sept. 16, 2006) - Highly needed medical supplies and mosquito nets were given out during a Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP) visit to Hindi, Kenya. MEDCAP personnel from the Kenyan navy and U.S. military provided highly needed medical care to more than 1,500 people in Hindi, which is located outside of Lamu. Medical care is a rare service in this area of the country so surrounding villages sent families via buses and trucks. The MEDCAP personnel treated more than 4,600 people in three locations by the end of their trip.
