Birkhall, a white walled Jacobean house near Balmoral, Scotland, where Princess Alexandra and Mr Angus Ogilvy are to spend the first part of their honeymoon following their wedding next Wednesday. They will fly to Scotland from London airport biplane of the Queen's light. Birkhall, now the Queen Mother's home, was also behind him in residence of the Duke and Duchess of Kent. It has been a holiday home for royalty more than a century. On 26 September 1940 the church was largely destroyed in a bombing raid. The tower and spire of the Church were left standing for a number of years until the building of the Dental School on the site (King's College Dental Institute).
