Lieutenant Colonel Herbert Jones (R) and Sergeant Ian John Mckay who was announced to have been awarded the Victoria Crosses in the Falklands Gallantry Awards announced. Lt Col 'H' Jones of church Crookham, Hants, was killed whilst Commanding 2 Para in the battle for Goose Green. Sgt McKay of Rotherham, Yorks, died as a platoon sergeant of 3 Para in the battle for Mount Longdon.
