Delta Dart Death Row at AMARC, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. Rows of retired Convair F-106 still proudly displaying their unit’s colors. Only about a third of these aircraft escaped the “Pacer Six” drone program. About 199 of the 340 fighters manufactured were converted to QF-106 drones. The QF-106 were Full-Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) for weapons systems evaluation. During their target years from 1990 to 1998 they enabled evaluation of both air-to-air and surface-to-air missile systems.
