82-year-old Daisy Drew of Small Heath, Birmingham who was attacked and robbed in her home last night. Mrs Drew suffered a broken nose, finger and collar bone in the attack while the thieves escaped with her ring and less than a pound in cash. On 30.7.96 a Birmingham court heard the admission of John McDonagh and Catherine Bates that they had posed as social workers to burgle and terrorize pensioners in the area. Miss Drew was at Birmingham Crown Court on 1.10.96 for the case of the two people accused of attacking and stealing from her and two other pensioners. RM2D2WTDW–82-year-old Daisy Drew of Small Heath, Birmingham who was attacked and robbed in her home last night. Mrs Drew suffered a broken nose, finger and collar bone in the attack while the thieves escaped with her ring and less than a pound in cash. On 30.7.96 a Birmingham court heard the admission of John McDonagh and Catherine Bates that they had posed as social workers to burgle and terrorize pensioners in the area. Miss Drew was at Birmingham Crown Court on 1.10.96 for the case of the two people accused of attacking and stealing from her and two other pensioners.
