QUEEN MARY SAILING FOR REPAIRS The Sailing of the 81,000 tons Cunard White Star liner QUEEN MARY , was postponed for a further 24 hours for repairs . The hold up was announced after the divers had inspected the rudder , propellers and starboard side of the stern . The Vessel is in the ocean dock at Southampton to which she returned after being damaged on a sandbank off Cherbourg on which she went aground on Saturday night . She had been bound for New York .
