She fought against the French troops in the defence of the bastion of Portillo, in Saragossa. Agustina de Aragón contributed to the defence by encouraging the artillerymen and bringing them ammunition and food. She fought against the French troops in the defence of the bastion of Portillo, in Saragossa. Agustina de Aragón contributed to the defence by encouraging the artillerymen and bringing them ammunition and food. The corporal in command of the Portillo artillery battery was wounded, as were the rest of the soldiers at the position.
