'The entry to the courtyard of the Tuileries was formerly placed almost at the foot of the Pavilion de Flore: it is at present situated between the sixth and seventh bays in the fore part of the building. It is surmounted with a broken curved fronton, and is adorned with braceleted columns, executed in the same style as those of the gateway of the Imperial stables on the quay side.
