. PEARL BUSH. Exochorda Grandiflora. The flowers are borne in slender racemes of 8 or 10 florets each, on light and wiry branches that bend beneath their load of bloom just enough to be airy and graceful. The petals are pure white, the calyx shows a small dot of green in the centre of each flower, while the unexpanded buds are like small round beads of pearly whiteness. It bears some resemblance in size and appearance of flower to Mock Orange, but the flower spikes are longer and borne on slender branches, giving a graceful appearance to the bush.
