Ian Gillett Carmichael, OBE (1920-2010) - English actor. He had roles in the films of the Boulting brothers, including Private's Progress and I'm All Right Jack, and later played Dorothy L. Sayers's gentleman detective, Lord Peter Wimsey, on television and radio. Carmichael also had a career on stage.
