A Coronation Loving Cup, of which only a thousand are being made, is here being admired by 22-year-old Margaret Timmis, a figure artist, at the Royal Doulton Potteries, Burslem, Staffordshire. The Loving Cup, 10½ inches high and hand-painted, was specially designed for the Coronation by Mr. C.J. Noke, Royal Doulton Art Director. On the side shown, it bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II framed by a background of Windsor Castle. The decoration also includes the Royal Standard and the Union Jack, the whole being surmounted by the Royal coat of arms. November 18, 1952.
