Vintage or Historic Engraving or Illustration 1863. An eye witness reported, on 29 July 1862, of the custom in the King's Palace (of King Ghezo),of throwing victims from two raised platforms. Each platform held 16 captives and four horses. On a third platform were four horses, a crocodile and 16 women. The men and women had been captured in Ishaga Nigeria.
