The Exodus is the founding myth of the Israelites and tells of the enslavement that befell the Israelites in Egypt. They had been in Egypt for generations, but became so numerous, the Pharaoh feared their presence. He feared that one day the Isrealites would turn against the Egyptians. Gradually and stealthily, he forced them to become his slaves to build grand treasure cities between 1900 BC to 1100 BC, between the Twelth and Twentieth Dynasties.
