. Postcard photo of baptismal font in St Martins-in-Herne church, Herne, Kent, England. The postcard is unused, but the photo could only have been taken between 1907 and 1914. The photographer was Fred C. Palmer of Tower Studio, Herne Bay, Kent, who is believed to have died 1936-1939. The church is medieval but was renovated in the 19th century. Points of interest The font has now been moved in front of the organ, and is now on a wooden stand instead of a stone one. It is not known whether the font is medieval or a Victorian reconstruction.
